What are 8 track tapes?

So why bother telling us about them?

So they listen to the music...so what?

Sam loved history.  So he knew what 8 track tapes were.  But blue was much younger...and history didn't interest him at all...he didn't have any idea what 8 track tapes were.  So he ignored them. Sam went over and started to rummage around in the box.

"Do you have a tape player for 8 tracks?" asked Sam.  " Nope...that's why people don't like 8 tracks anymore...no one can listen to a tape when there is no longer any 8 track players." said the old man...putting purple wigs on his hat.  He like to change them often. "Do you know who might have one?"  asked Sam...the oldman, putting on a green wig now,...shook his head no. Just at that moment...Sam noticed an old antique player sitting next to the box.  "This is a player..." he cried out..."Come here blue...maybe we can find a hum of a tune in these..." Blue came over.  He didn't care "how" the music was to be played as long as it 'was' played.

Sam put one of the 8 tracks into the player...and it began to buzz..and sputter...and whir...and hum...a delightful machine type hum....Oh Blue had found his hum....a delightful combination of spits...sputters..whirs and hummmmmmm....it was just right for a lovely Blue Bird Mobile that could make people dream....

They bought the player...no 8 tracks...who cares about 8 tracks...and sense the player maker was out of business...he was very glad to sell all rights to the 8 track player...and Sam could listen all day...to Blue making lovely hums....
